Historia y distribución/History and distribution: Un bejuco raro en elevaciones bajas. Principales regiones geográficas conforme a Axelrod (2011): Costa Oriental (Humacao), Llanuras Costeras del Norte. Áreas botánicamente únicas conforme a Axelrod (2011): Laguna Tortuguero. En áreas pantanosas cerca de Laguna Tortuguero y en la boca del Río Humacao (Acevedo-Rodríguez 2005).

A rare vine at low elevations. Major geographic regions following Axelrod (2011): Eastern Coast (Humacao), Northern Coastal Lowlands. Botanically unique areas following Axelrod (2011): Laguna Tortuguero. In marshy areas near Laguna Tortuguero and at the mouth of the Humacao River (Acevedo-Rodríguez 2005).
