Historia y distribución/History and distribution: Cited by Liogier & Martorell (1982, 2000) as being tested as planted as an ornamental in western Puerto Rico, but excluded as only under cultivation by Axelrod (2011). However, cited as naturalized in Puerto Rico in the Flora of the West Indies (Acevedo-Rodríguez & Strong 2015).
