Historia y distribución/History and distribution: Una grama rara en en norte de Puerto Rico. Principales regiones geográficas conforme a Axelrod (2011): Llanuras Costeras del Norte (Laguna Tortuguero). Áreas botánicamente únicas conforme a Axelrod (2011): Laguna Tortuguero. Aparentemente recolectada una vez en 1968 por Roy Woodbury (a.n. 4171 UPR) en Vega Baja (Liogier & Martorell 1982, Liogier & Martorell 2000, Axelrod 2011).

A rare grass in northern Puerto Rico at low elevations. Major geographic regions following Axelrod (2011): Northern Coastal Lowlands (Laguna Tortuguero). Botanically unique areas following Axelrod (2011): Laguna Tortuguero. Apparently collected once in 1968 by Roy Woodbury (a.n. 4171 UPR) in Vega Baja (Liogier & Martorell 1982, Liogier & Martorell 2000, Axelrod 2011).
