Historia y distribución/History and distribution: A tree planted in Puerto Rico under the name Ficus benjamina, which is also present (see Axelrod 2011). Distinguished from F. benjamina in having elongated synconia (“fruit”) instead of globose synconia and distinct versus indistinct basal veins.
