Historia y distribución/History and distribution: Cited by Liogier & Martorell (1982), Liogier (1995 [IV: 97]), and Liogier & Martorell (2000) as cultivated and escaped, but excluded as only under cultivation by Axelrod (2011). However, at least one specimen at UPRRP (Dávila 22), appears to be from a naturalized population.
