Historia y distribución/History and distribution: Un arbusto raro recolectado por P.E.E. Sintenis dos veces en 1886: una vez en Guánica (3682 US) y otra en Rincón (5604 US). Citada por Axelrod (2011) como un taxón no recolectado recientemente. No hay registros de esta en MAPR (Jeanine Vélez, com. email 2016). / A rare shrub collected by P.E.E. Sintenis twice in 1886: once in Guánica (3682 US) and once at Rincón (5604 US). Listed as a taxon not recently collected by Axelrod (2011). There are no records of this at MAPR (Jeanine Vélez, email comm. 2016).
