Principales regiones geográficas conforme a Axelrod (2011): Cordillera Occidental (Cerro Las Mesas), Llanuras Costeras del Norte (San Juan), Costa Occidental. Áreas botánicamente únicas conforme a Axelrod (2011): Cerro Las Mesas. Quizá recolectado por última vez en 1980 por Henri Liogier (30658 US) en Cerro Las Mesas.

A rare shrub at low elevations. Major geographic regions following Axelrod (2011): Western Cordillera (Cerro Las Mesas), Northern Coastal Lowlands (San Juan), Western Coast. Botanically unique areas following Axelrod (2011): Cerro Las Mesas. Perhaps last collected in 1980 by Henri Liogier (30658 US) in Cerro Las Mesas.
