Education & Outreach

IRC’s Education and Outreach Program serves to promote conservation in the real world by providing public education and nurturing a community of supporters to help us achieve our mission. This program strives to connect IRC to the community by translating the technical science that is being conducted into understandable, usable information for our South Florida neighbors through social media and hands-on events.

Our regular education and outreach programs include volunteer days like our recent beach restoration events in Delray Beach, presentations at local events like Bird and Butterfly Day in Miami and formal talks at various groups and societies like chapters of the Native Plant Society. If you are interested in sponsoring an event, partnering with us, or volunteering with us, contact IRC’s Education and Outreach Coordinator, Cara Abbott, at 305-304-6610 or abbott@regionalconservation.org.
