restoring the link between people and nature...

IRC’s Restoring The Link (RTL) program is based on the premise that people can work with nature to restore ecosystems and a healthy sense of place. A new program initiated in 2005, RTL will ultimately include a program to restore ecosystems on private land, a native plant nursery cultivating native plants not normally carried by the native plant industry and a small scale native plant landscaping and ecosystem restoration team to provide services to homeowners and organizations interested in native plants and native plant gardening. It will utilize data collected by the Floristic Inventory of South Florida, recommendations in IRC’s book, Rare Plants of South Florida: Their History, Conservation, and Restoration, and IRC’s web resource, Natives For Your Neighborhood. Initial funding for RTL has been provided by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, through its Private Stewardship Grants Program. Below are examples of our work.
