South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as critically imperiled in Rare Plants of South Florida (Gann et al. 2002; pp 252-253) as Eragrostis tracyi based on one occurrence at Mound Key Archaeological State Park and one occurrence on private property on Sanibel Island. This species has been discovered in several other protected areas since 2002.
