South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as presumed extirpated in Rare Plants of South Florida (
Gann et al. 2002, pp 80-81), based on a last known collection in 1957 northeast of Fort Myers. Rediscovered in Charlotte County in 2011 by Alan Franck and R. Chicone Jr. (
