Map of Florida Locations

SOUTH FLORIDA Occurrence: Present

SOUTH FLORIDA Native Status: Assumed to be Native

Comments: Although recently discovered, it has only been found in intact, undisturbed rockland hammocks in Everglades National Park. We would treat this as native, versus assumed to be native, except for the fact that there are no records of this from the West Indies, and it theoretically could have originated from cultivated plants.
