South Florida History and Distribution: Ranked as presumed extirpated in Rare Plants of South Florida (Gann et al. 2002; pp 54-5) based on many collections betweeen 1846 and 1947 from pine rocklands in Miami-Dade County. A specimen attributed to this from near Greynolds Park in northeastern Miami-Dade County was determined to be Tephrosia curtissii. A specimen on GBIF (Curtiss 584 KANU) from Brevard County is Tephrosia florida.
