Commonly available at native plant nurseries in central Florida.
Description: Perennial wildflower with basal leaves 2-8 inches long and solitary yellow flowers on stems up to 3 feet tall.
Dimensions: Typically 2-3 feet in height.
Range:
Endemic to northeastern peninsular Florida.

Habitats: Wet prairies and flatwoods.
Soils: Seasonally wet to moist, moderately well-drained sandy or limestone soils, without humus.
Salt Water Tolerance: Low; does not tolerate flooding by salt or brackish water.
Salt Wind Tolerance: Low; salt wind may burn the leaves.
Drought Tolerance: Low; requires moist to wet soils and is intolerant of long periods of drought.
Light Requirements: Full sun to light shade.
Flower Color: Yellow.
Flower Characteristics: Showy.
Flowering Season: Summer-fall.
Wildlife and Ecology: Attracts pollinators.
